Imaginez que je supprime votre nom, puis votre prénom, de manière à vous soulager un peu de ce qui compose votre identité. Imaginez encore, si vous poursuivez cette lecture, que pour affiner cette déshumanisation je vous désigne par un numéro, disons le 338, et que je vous inocule par injection sous-cutanée une maladie amusante – une peste, le typhus, le tsutsugamushi – ou bien un poison quelconque comme la toxine de fugu.
