Celles qui restent, c’est l’histoire de trois soeurs, chacune leur personnalité, chacune leur caractère. D’un côté il y a Clara, l’aînée, celle qui voudrait que tout soit impeccable dans sa vie et celle des autres, qui s’efforce d’avancer, toujours tirée à quatre épingles, même si finalement sa propre existence est loin d’être aussi rose. De l’autre côté, il y a Lucy, la benjamine, l’antithèse de sa soeur, un peu fofolle, superficielle, bordélique. Et au milieu, il y a la cadette, celle qu’on ne remarque jamais, Constance, qui fait un peu le tampon entre les deux extrêmes.
