En l'an 54 de la nouvelle ère, après une redistribution des pouvoirs qui sont aujourd'hui partagés essentiellement entre les quatre puissances (USA, Russie, Union Européenne, Chine) qui disposent de stations orbitales regroupant les derniers missiles nucléaires disponibles, des acteurs divers, dont un milliardaire fou, un chef indépendantiste kazakh et le gouvernement indien, vexé de ne pas faire partie des superpuissances, vont préparer la catsatrophe finale. Trois personnages mineurs, Juan, astronaute européen, Agathe, espionne et Ashkat, chef kazakh, peuvent éviter le pire.

La Terre est surveillée par des stations spatiales bourrées de missiles nucléaires, pour la sécurité de tous, paraît-il. Alors qui peut bien en vouloir à ces stations ?
